The U of A Classics Club, Eta Sigma Phi, is an undergraduate-led club focused on promoting interest in the study of the ancient Greek and Roman worlds among the students of the University of Arizona by means of various events and activities. We strive to develop camaraderie and inclusive community among students in Classics and beyond.
Every academic year, we host enriching and exciting events for the university community, such as the Homerathon, a day long community reading from either the Iliad or the Odyssey, and “From Rome with Love,” a half-day-long community read-aloud, drawing from a broad selection of readings in Latin literature focused on the theme of love, hosted during the Valentine’s season.
